Town Hall Meeting - Empire Bvld Enhancement Project June 22, 2015
Coos Bay Public Works Department and Coos Bay North Bend Water Board invite the community to a Town Hall meeting on June 24th from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Empire Fire Station to discuss the Empire Boulevard Enhancement Project. The project will widen the roadway section to provide bikes lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the street. The project will also provide a covered structure at the Coos County Area Transit (CCAT) bus stop on Empire Boulevard. Street lighting, benches, and other improvements would be provided to make the boulevard more attractive and user friendly for bicycle and pedestrian usage. All utilities will be required to relocate out of the improvement zone. Coos Bay North Bend Water Board will start relocating the water main in July 2015. Items on the agenda are traffic control, to include alternate routes for motorist. The road widen project is expected to start October 2015 and be completed by December 2016. Conceptual Perspectives
