New Addition to the Police Department May 06, 2022


 
On Monday May 2, 2022, Bobbie Collier was sworn-in and welcomed as the newest Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) Officer. Officer Collier was sworn-in by Chief Chris Chapanar in the Coos Bay City Council Chambers. Collier’s family members, friends, Mayor Joe Benetti, CBPD and other City staff were on hand for the ceremony.
 
Officer Collier was raised in the Tygh Valley, OR area and is a proud graduate of South Wasco County High School. Officer Collier served 10 years in the United States Army, serving one tour in Iraq. After her service in the Army, Officer Collier and her husband, Steve, moved to the Oregon Coast, ultimately landing in Coos Bay. Prior to joining the CBPD, she worked for the U.S. Forest Service. Officer Collier has three children.
