Front Street Action Plan Open House September 02, 2016
Coos Bay’s Brownfields Action Committee will hold an open house on September 15, 2016 at the Coos Bay Historical Maritime Museum located at 1210 N. Front Street. The Open House will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and refreshments will be provided. The open house will feature a presentation by the design and land use consultants who have been hired to formulate and present a Front Street Area Plan.
The major components of the proposed plan include:
- Connectivity within the Front Street study area focused on pedestrian and bicycle and automotive access.
- Completing an infrastructure assessment, recreational components.
- Conducting a market analysis.
The City wants to hear from you about how to improve our waterfront in the Front Street area. Specifically:
- What kinds of investments should the City make?
- What incentives should be available for business owners and developers?
- How can the community play a part in the redevelopment of our waterfront?
There will be a presentation about the current opportunities and barriers to development followed by your ideas and questions.
