Look How Far We’ve Come May 23, 2017

In just five short months, the new Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 has construction booming. The first picture (left) was taken December 19, 2016, and the second photo was taken May 22, 2017.With good weather in the forecast, we are moving full steam ahead. The crews are working hard to ensure that the project is finished on time! At this time the project is 20% complete. While you might not think 20% is a large number, once the shell is complete then our contractor will begin the interior. The interior consists of pumps, blowers, electrical systems, HVAC systems, odor control system, grit removal systems, UV Disinfection systems, site work piping, operational buildings, and much more. You will not be able to see as much construction from the outside looking in once the shell is complete. While this treatment plant will be industrial, we have plans to negate the industrial feel of the plant.

An overview of the Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 upgrade and expansion project is available here. Project timeline and additional construction photos are also posted.

  • 75% of the concrete slabs have been completed.
  • 23% of the walls have been placed.
  • 80% of the reinforcing rebar installation is complete.
