Continuing Education for Fire Department Staff January 17, 2018
All the career staff at Coos Bay Fire Department (CBFD) are trained as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and four are Paramedics. This week, CBFD Paramedics along with Paramedics from Bay Cities Ambulance, Roseburg Fire Department, Lower Umpqua Ambulance, and Myrtle Point Ambulance participated in a 48-hour refresher course. Our EMT’s and Paramedics are required to complete continuing education every two years to keep their skills sharp and license up to date.
